Thank you for visiting Rettingerphoto and I hope you enjoy viewing some of my travel photos.

I started taking photos with reel negatives that I developed and printed in my basement at about age 11.  The camera was rudimentary, but I loved watching them develop and come to life.  Black and white photos were the only film available and with Kodachrome, my horizons expanded.

Then college, medical school, post graduate training and raising a growing family took precedence.  However, in about 2000, with the kids grown and life more sane, my wife, Sherry, and I decided to begin traveling and visiting all the places we dreamed of.  I put many of our photos (all un-retouched) in my endocrinology office for my patients to enjoy, so for many of you, the photos may look familiar.
